If you don't agree, you're not stupid
How in the world did my recent blog post on the Times-Gazette website get out of hand? I posted a blog asking people to provide first and last names when submitting news or a photograph to the newspaper. That is part of properly identifying people we are referring to in stories and photos...
If you've dreamed of communicating with others through words, photos and video, the Shelbyville Times-Gazette may be looking for you. We're looking for a feature writer who can make stories come alive with compelling writing and attention-grabbing photography. Video expertise is a definite plus.
Just as important is a knack for talking to and meeting people and being involved in the community. A background in journalism or photography is helpful, but not mandatory. A curious mind and thoughtful writing skills are needed.
In addition, we're looking for freelance writers to help with upcoming magazine projects.
Contact Sadie Fowler, firstname.lastname@example.org or 931-684-1200, if you're interested. Please don't leave information here or through Facebook's messaging system.
Do you have some beauty shots of Bedford County -- especially shots that represent a particular season of the year -- which might be suitable for the next issue of the glossy magazine "Salute," which the Times-Gazette produces for the Chamber of Commerce? If so, we'd love to see them. Send them to Sadie Fowler, email@example.com.
