What do you want to be when you grow up?

As far back as I can remember I wanted to be four things in my life... A realtor(check), a teacher/coach(check), a pilot (no check), and a husband/father(check,check,check).

I always wanted to be in real estate no matter what. I just love all aspects of it. Thanks to Coach Terry Looper I had the opportunity to teach and coach. I also have two wonderful boys and a little girl on the way. (This is the job I love the most) I have never been a pilot, but I am hoping to take lessons someday and at least get a little taste of being one.

What do you want to be when you "grow" up?

Resentful Parent,

Sorry to disappoint you. I am sure you have a very successful career in something exciting. I am happy to do what I do so I guess the answer to your question is...ME.

Who wants to grow up to be a realtor or teacher when they're a kid? Way to aim for the middle.

I have always wanted to be a counselor for the past 10 years ever since i was 9 . Who knows what will happen with that . I can say I have been finding alot of people online who need advice or need to talk and I am their for them . Many of which say I should become a counselor but like I said who knows what will happen . Maybe it will come true maybe not . If that doesn't come true my only dream in life will have been washed away .

I wanted to be a super-hero or a detective ,sing show tunes, write like Zenna Henderson or Madeline L'Engle or play with critters all day.

Today,I'd still love to be able to read books and rub baby dogs' fat tummies for a living.

Barring that,I'd like to do something involving the community-especially literacy and youth activities.

Excellent Blog Idea BTW.

Well, I wanted to be an astronaut, so to do so I had to be in the Air Force. I took the test and got pretty good marks to get in as an officer. Took the physical and found out I had asthma! Bah! I didn't even know and it really doesn't affect me to this day.

Now I just design websites.

Ooh! Beach bum does sound pretty good. I hadn't considered that. I also always thought it would be fun to be a motivational speaker or trainer at a convention. I am just not very good with public speaking, and I am not sure how motivating I would be either. It might be a one time gig.

I have been very blessed and I am very thankful for those blessings.

I always wished I could get paid to play with dogs all day, or if I couldn't find a job doing that I would've liked to get paid for my art (again, a scarce market for that).

I only wanted to be happy and successful. And I have accomplished both of them. I have a wonderful husband and child. We have a beautiful home and we have both been blessed with good jobs. Like any other family, we have our trials sometimes, but we always manage to make it through them--I thank God for that! I have exactly what I wanted out of life! But, I would like to do Massage Therapy as a part time profession! I don't know why, but I love it!

Most of all, I wanted to be a Mommy and a wife. I am a mom of two cute little boys, and the wife of a wonderful husband.

Second, I want to be a Special Education teacher and/or Audiolagist (works with hearing impaired). I have two years of school under my belt, but need to finish my degree. Meeting my husband and starting a family put that dream on hold for a while. That's ok though! I don't mind working at Wal-Mart part time until then. =) Right now, being a mom and wife is at the top of my list.

Gee Not many people actually grow up and be what they wanted to be when they were children. You, my friend are one of those lucky few.

I don't remember what I wanted to be when I was a child I think I changed my mind about as often as I changed my clothes.

To borrow a phrase from Forest Gump "I have wore many shoes" I have worked in Casinos, amusement parks, TV stations, accounting, payroll, government positions and rehab positions. I have never worked in Fast Food I was a waitress for like 3 hours one time (needless to say it wasn't my cup of tea). The closest I ever came to working in retail was I changed the prices in the computer so when the cashier scanned your items they would ring the right price. I don't think any of those things was on my list of wanta do's.

But Looking back if I could choose now what I want to be when I grow up..I would have to say a Professional Gambler, although I am not to good at gambling I do enjoy it.

My second choice would be a Beach Bum I am not sure what a Beach Bum actually does besides lay on the beach but I could do that. :>)
