Social Networking Sites...not just for the kids

Do you use social networking sites like MySpace, Facebook, Tagged, or Linkedin just to name a few? I have joined a few and I like Facebook the best. I admit that I am overwhelmed with everything on MySpace and for some reason I can not accept the email verification. On Facebook I have heard from many old friends that I have not seen or talked to in years. I feel it is also a great business tool. All the exposure grows exponentially when the networking begins. So, do you like them?

I agree completely about Facebook. It's a great way to reconnect with old classmates and friends. It's like the grown-up version of MySpace, in my opinion.
At an internet networking session at eBay Live they were very big on these social networking. The fellow presenting the program made a living with using this and affiliate marketing links.
I agree . . . I prefer Facebook because it seems to cater more to adults and Myspace is so junky and cluttered. I have connected with people better off of Facebook than any other site.
The first time I tried Facebook, I really wasn't into it. Then, last fall, I thought I was going to be teaching a class on blogging and social networking at TTCS, and I re-activated my account just so I could re-acquaint myself. Somehow, it clicked this time. Now, I use Facebook a lot -- I play Scrabble and Wordscraper with an old college roommate, keep up with other old friends, and what have you. I've even set up a Facebook group for my novel.
By the way, Steve Mallard asked me to try the class at TTCS again in January. We'll see if it "makes" this time around.
Thanks for the information John, It is nice to see what people use these social networking sites for. I have one that I am building for the State of Tennessee, but I think I am going to make it more about business and school then about fun. Think I am going to add a classified section along with blogs, music, photo, maybe even live webcam for conferencing.
I use Facebook - it's been kind of fun seeing what old friends from high school have been up to.
I like Facebook, too. Socially, it's cool to catch up with friends from high school and college.
My business partner and I have also found it to be a great networking tool. We were able to tell friends in different areas about locations we had coming near them. They have helped us make connections that we may have never made otherwise.
