Spring really is here

From the garden.

I'm really excited because all of the bulb flowers that the previous owners of our house planted are now blooming. I picked some of the daffodils this morning and put them on my desk at work (here's a hint, you know that Pom brand juice? Those tall glasses they come in make really nice vases. They also make nice high-ball glasses, too...).

I haven't really planted much yet - some lavendar and some flowers that are supposed to attract butterflies. I'm hoping to plant some more this weekend - lemon cucumbers and I'm not sure what else. I have some bulbs I want to plant for next year - they're from my mother-in-law. I thought about planting some catnip for my cats, but then I remembered the time a friend of ours sent us a toy for them with some catnip inside of it...it wasn't pretty. Our biggest cat, Bosie (he weighs over 25 pounds) went crazy and tried to attack anyone who went near his precious toy.

Anyway, I'm also pretty excited about spring (again) because it means the start of yard sale season!! We went to one the other day and it was fun - the person had a couple old mimograph machines which we thought about getting then we could act our the parts of our favorite 60s radicals, but then we came to our senses and didn't get one. Isn't that 400 mile long yard sale coming up? Maybe that's later in the summer...There's some auctions coming up, too. I'm going to this one this weekend. It looks like they have some good stuff, not that I really need anything else...

If you buy too much, there is always eBay, or your OWN yard sale!!

That really is a big, handsome kitty cat! And thank goodness spring is here.

I've got cabin fever so bad from being sick all of March. I'm spring cleaning and gathering stuff for our yard sale we need to have.

Steve, I do sometimes think, when at yard sales, 'maybe we should get that for ebay,' but I never do it.

mmp84 - thank you, Bosie is certainly a big cat. He's the cat that tiny kittens look up to hoping to become half as big.

How did you enjoy the MUD auction? We could not stay for all the smokers. Sorry those of you who smoke, but those if us who have asthma, allergies or sensitivities just can't enjoy the auction with headaches and coughing.

I have sometimes had to vacate an area as a result of heavy perfume, but smoking will do it to me every time.

Were you there? We must've missed you. We got there around 10:30.
