I was looking at the Fly website this morning and saw a listing for their Festival Of Trees and Holiday Bazaar this December. Does anyone know anything about it?

Also, do any of you know if the Fly has craft-y type fairs?

The reason I ask is because I heard of a place in Huntsville, here, that sounds really cool. They have a Saturday craft market. It seems like it's just drop in, but I haven't called for more info yet. I think that the Fly has the potential to become as vibrant as this place. It seems like the Lowe Mill is more of artists studios, but still...there's nothing stopping the Fly from become a really fun and cool place to check out on weekends.

The Fly will have the "big room" full of decorated trees--anyone can participate free. That's what the form on the website is about.

On Nov. 21 (Sat. before Thanksgiving) the Fly will host the opening of the Festival of Trees plus a holiday craft bazaar plus storytime and craft activity for kids. All this is free to the public (except what you buy at bazaar and what snacks you buy to eat).

On November 21 only, there is limited space for tables of handmade crafts for sale. We supply the space with a 6 ft. table for a minimal charge. There will be another form on the website for vendor registration soon. In the meantime you can e-mail me at my username here at hotmail dot com. I will reply with a registration form and also answers to your questions.

The Trees will remain on view to the public during open hours Mon, Tues, Thurs, 11-4 through December 22. Entrance is free.
