As Good As It Gets?

It's only just begun.

But it seems like college basketball can't get much better than the games played over the weekend at the SEC Tournament in Atlanta.

Every game was decided by 11 points or less with most of them going to the final buzzer or even overtime.

Perhaps even a greater story was the change of venues from the tornado-stricken Georgia Dome to the Alexander Memorial Coliseum at nearby Georgia Tech. And, despite the logistic nightmare that ensued, the games got better and better.

More surprisingly, what can you say about the overwhelming underdog of all underdogs…the Georgia Bulldogs? There is absolutely nobody, including the team and its fans, that could have seen that coming. To win two games in one day and amass four straight victories to earn the SEC's automatic bid to the Big Dance is simply amazing and mind-blowing! Heck, the Dawgs only won four games during the entire SEC regular season to finish dead last at 4-12 in the conference.

However, give Dennis Felton and his Bulldogs all the credit in the world. They absolutely earned it and Felton saved his job as a result. What a weekend in the SEC!

After seeing that along with Shan Foster's unbelievable 42-point performance (when he somehow drained nine straight 3-pointers in the 2nd half) up close and personal a couple weeks ago, I don't know how it can get much better in the coming days.

It's the NCAA Tournament and a crazy time of year, though, so I wouldn't be surprised.

My Final Four picks are Memphis, UCLA, Georgetown and Louisville. Who do you have?
