Hello everyone. First, I miss you all in the newsroom so much. Make sure you tell Mary and Carol I am in no danger. I know they are deeply concerned ha ha!
I only have a few minutes but I wanted to give you all a quick update. I am currently staying in a hotel but will be moving into a host home tonight. This particular hotel is very "Western-like" so email is available and I can understand how to use it (english/Korean letters on the keyboard). In short, the Koreans have treated us like absolute royalty. I am having a fabulous time. Yesterday we did a lunch Rotary meeting and they are much more formal than we are in the U.S. From the dress to the food to just the way they present themselves and the food in general, they seem to care more about appearance than we do. The food is wonderful. We having been eating many times a day, just healthier food. Sushi, fish, veggies and lots of fruit. Last night, they took us to a Karaoke Club and we all sang. They are wild, crazy and fun people!!! We have, so far, had a translator however that is subject to change. Also we saw the most gorgeous Buddhist Temples yesterday. Very tired and time to start my day now. Goodbye for now:-) Oh, by the way, I am in the city of Dae Jon right now. It is a big city, bigger than I thought. I am loving this experience very much so far:-)

Sadie,
Sounds so familiar! The Asians must love karaoke and I,sadly, don't sing so that part was interesting. The food IS much healthier. I think we all lost some weight in the Phillipines. Keep us posted and good luck on the host home.

We miss you, Sadie. Have a good time and stay safe. Keep us updated as you can.
That is so cool that you can communicate with us from there. I hope you are taking lots of pictures (photos) to share when you return.
Enjoy and be safe!
Hi Sadie,
Glad to hear that you made it safely. I know you will have a wonderful experience while you are away. Have you learned any more korean yet? Miss you my friend, email if you can.
