Real Class

Posted Sunday, November 2, 2008, at 8:33 PM

Last night my yard was teepeed......Thanks....I live about 3 miles out off the old Tullahoma Hwy. My yard and one on the old Tullahoma towards town, with only a Curt Cobb sign in their yard was treated also.

I have lived here 36 years and raised 4 children all of whom are in their 30s and 40s now without such an incident. Try hard and see if you can guess the prime suspect.

Neither my wife nor I are physically able to clean it up so I guess we will just have to wait on Mother Nature to do the job. I don't believe I have ever had the pleasure of seeing such a childish and criminal display by one who thinks they are capable of representing people by running for a public office.

Ya'll two aren't feeling guilty are you? ---:)

-- Posted by parkerbrothers on Sun, Nov 2, 2008, at 10:15 PM

LOL No I haven't tee peed anybody's yard in quite a few years. But I also know it isn't that easy of a clean up and if Carl needs help I would be more than happy to lend a hand.

Well kids will be kids.Sorry that it was done to your yard. I am sure that it was some kids just riding around.Mine was at the football game at Cascade Halloween nite and came home with us and crashed into bed as soon as he got home. But if you need any help just give a yell my way and I will try to help you out.I would be a little up-set too cause I try to keep my yard nice. But I know kids will forever be kids on Halloween nite and this will go on as long as we use TP.

Just ask darrick_04 where he was that night? LOL!

-- Posted by jaxspike on Mon, Nov 3, 2008, at 7:24 AM

Dianatn, I do not know Mr. McClanahan personally, or where he lives, so until he replies with consent and instructions, I do not know when or where. I would hate for us both to end up on the business end of his personal protection.

parkerbrothers, If I had the motivation required to mess up anyone's yard from these blogs, I believe I would have attempted to track you down instead. That being said, I sadly do not have the time, energy or imagination anymore to invest in the "fun" things that I could when I was just a little younger.

-- Posted by memyselfi on Mon, Nov 3, 2008, at 11:38 AM

Memyselfi, Diane and Heaven8kids7grandrebelrose........Thank you all for your offer of assistance. I really appreciate it but I will get one of my sons and some grandkids to help. I wouldn't have thought this incidence worthy of mention if I din't think a certain, obviously sociopathic political candidate was responsible. I will get to the bottom of it as investigation is underway. Thanks again for your kind offer.

And I almost thought you loved me. (-

:):)

-- Posted by parkerbrothers on Mon, Nov 3, 2008, at 5:32 PM

i wonder why someone would wanna do that to YOUR

yard? interesting.......hmm.

-- Posted by slingshot on Mon, Nov 3, 2008, at 8:14 PM

cmcclanahan, Okay, but if you change your mind, just let me know. I could provide references if requested.

I would not be so sure that it was politically motivated and directed by a campaign. I have been out the highway just on Friday and there are a lot of signs up. It may just be coincidence that the other yard that was decorated with TP had Cobb signs up. They would have had to clear out the Wal-Mart to do everyone's yard bearing Curt's name, just for that highway. Maybe this is just a relatively small price to pay for standing away from the bushes to throw your rocks and the other home was unrelated to yours, or maybe it was those children you may have yelled at to get off your lawn 6 months ago? I would hope so anyway. I would also hope whoever is responsible was not aware of you inability to clean it up.

Posted by memyselfi on Mon, Nov 3, 2008, at 9:18 PM

memyselfi,

I hope you at least garner some respect for the man who does not hide behind a bush to throw his rocks and lose some of your admiration for the ones that are ashamed of their beliefs and hide in the bushes to throw their rocks.

We all have our "rocks" (opinions) to throw but I admire a "man" such as Carl and all the others who write their blogs out in the open and absorb all the bashes they take from the sneaking and cowardly rock throwers from the bushes (and closets).

Where do you throw your rocks from?

-- Posted by parkerbrothers on Wed, Nov 5, 2008, at 8:41 AM

parkerbrothers, I do think highly of you. You would argue with a rock, which is a somewhat admirable trait as far as I am concerned. Your compulsion to argue must have motivated the above comment. I obviously have some respect, as I offered to help with the yard in the first place. I was clearly not criticizing the fact that the writers of the blogs are very visible. I was just pointing out that I would guess it is a good place to look when deciding who to place the blame on, and that it is a small price to pay. I am not shy about my opinions, nor am I ashamed of them. Anyone that knows me at all, knows my beliefs.

-- Posted by memyselfi on Wed, Nov 5, 2008, at 9:22 AM

memyselfi,

Someone might know that you throw rocks (opinions) but do you not think it is fair to at least as a minimum to let all the people that are affected from direct hits from your throwing rocks at them to know who is tossing your rocks at them.

Therefore again, where do you throw your rocks from?

-- Posted by parkerbrothers on Wed, Nov 5, 2008, at 12:04 PM

You would argue with a rock

Posted by parkerbrothers on Wed, Nov 5, 2008, at 8:41 AM

You are not a rock.

Perhaps I would argue with even a cowardly rock thrower is a better way of putting it?

-- Posted by parkerbrothers on Wed, Nov 5, 2008, at 12:07 PM

parkerbrothers, "cowardly rock thrower" What are you saying? Would you like my name? I would have to ask you why before I volunteered any information to you. You are not harboring some fixation directed to the user name you have come to recognize are you? You definitely do not know me, so what benefit would a name be to you? You do not want to wrap it up and put it under your pillow at night do you?

-- Posted by memyselfi on Wed, Nov 5, 2008, at 5:50 PM

It would be nice if everyone knew who was throwing the rocks(opinions) at them as cheap shots from the bushes.

Yes, I believe anyone who is willing to throw rocks from behind a bush or from the closet meets at least one or several of the definitions of a coward.

--noun 1. a person who lacks courage in facing danger, difficulty, opposition, pain, etc.; a timid or easily intimidated person.

-- Posted by parkerbrothers on Wed, Nov 5, 2008, at 8:37 PM

Hmmm... how does the word coward apply to hitting people with vehicles? I see, it only applies when you think it's necessary.

-- Posted by Disturbia on Wed, Nov 5, 2008, at 8:48 PM

Disturbia,

The real cowards are people who trap someone who is strapped in a tiny cockpit and stone him without mercy. They usually operate in groups and apply their force to a single individual. Much like you guys, the common bush bandits who hide behind your closet doors or in nearby bushes in wait for someone whom you can secretly hurl your rocks at without a one on one, eye to eye sensible discussion between two humans. Yes disturbia and your other secretly hiding rock throwing buddies, you all are the actual definition of a coward.

Why are you afraid to be recognized from outside the bush or closet door? Are you ashamed of yourself or the beliefs you have? Would you have to hang your head if you had to look people in the eye and they knew who you are and what you stood for? Of coarse you would. Get real. You have fooled nobody but yourselves.

-- Posted by parkerbrothers on Wed, Nov 5, 2008, at 9:46 PM

parkerbrothers, As tempted as I am to defend the good and courageous name of memyselfi, I must abstain from granting your request. I am sure you assumed from your own mental projections that I was an adolescent male that could be easily provoked into any action to prove my masculinity and overcompensate for something that I was apparently lacking. That is not the case. I offered to meet you to introduce you to some poor people less than 2 weeks ago, and like so many other times, you didn't even answer me. Please do attempt to respect the title of Carl's blog post in the future though. I think he would appreciate it from what he has repeatedly indicated in the past.

-- Posted by memyselfi on Wed, Nov 5, 2008, at 9:50 PM

How about this blog and all of the "real class"... oh well, Curt won!!!!

-- Posted by memyselfi on Wed, Nov 5, 2008, at 9:50 PM

memyselfi,

I think my topic somewhat exemplified what at least the title of his blog is about. I would even venture to say it was one of the cowardly rock throwers that rolled his yard. I also would say he would "respect" alot of you rock throwers opinion a little more is you would quit throwing rocks from behind the bushes and behind closet doors.

Your excuse, by the way to remain in the bushes was expected, Mr. Hicks.

-- Posted by parkerbrothers on Wed, Nov 5, 2008, at 10:38 PM

PB,

Didn't he mention that the person who was responsible was the GOP candidate herself???? Barbara Blanton? Maybe I didn't read it correctly, or his comments after the fact, but I am almost certain that is who he accused of doing it.

-- Posted by darrick_04 on Wed, Nov 5, 2008, at 10:45 PM

"I have ever had the pleasure of seeing such a childish and criminal display by one who thinks they are capable of representing people by running for a public office." Carl's words...

-- Posted by darrick_04 on Wed, Nov 5, 2008, at 10:47 PM

parkerbrothers, That is not such a leap. I have said as much in this forum in the last few months without shame. I have also revealed very much information about my life. I just do not know what you want. Again, you fail to comprehend that if you would like to meet me, I have suggested that without condition, and you have not accepted. Are you displaying a cowardly streak yourself perhaps? Are you afraid of the poor and ill-adapt that you try to depict as lazy and useless, or it just me?

-- Posted by memyselfi on Wed, Nov 5, 2008, at 11:00 PM

darrick_04,

I think the shoe he described finding in his yard could fit the foot of more than just Cinderela. It could even possibly fit your foot. What size do you wear?

-- Posted by parkerbrothers on Wed, Nov 5, 2008, at 11:04 PM

LOL... You have no comprehension of me do you? I do not vandalize people's property, I do not take what I have not earned, and I do not wish harm, ill feelings or any of the aforementioned to Carl and his family. Lastly, I don't know where he lives... and with your superior legal counsel one would think there would be no need in asking me if the shoe was mine. Apparently it is not, and the night of the incident I was at a birthday party for two cousins with family. There are at least 35 witnesses who could attest to the fact. Goodnight.

-- Posted by darrick_04 on Wed, Nov 5, 2008, at 11:08 PM

memyselfi,

Personally, I have no desire to meet you or any of the other "try to be anonymous rock throwers". In general I only try to associate with people of whom I believe to have the type character I admire and want to grow more like. More specifically they are Christian, Conservative, Hard Working, Upfront Honest, Plain Spoken, Fact Oriented and most of all Open people. I was taught that you primarily become what you think and who you associate with.

My instincts have generally guided me away from ones that lurk in the dark behind bushes and closet doors and take cheap shots wearing a mask. Unfortunately your comments have influenced me to place you more in the latter instead of the former.

darrick_04,

You seem somewhat a little worried...?? What gives?

-- Posted by parkerbrothers on Wed, Nov 5, 2008, at 11:25 PM

parkerbrothers, Well, now you have gone and hurt my feelings. Let me guess, it was the Christian part right?

-- Posted by memyselfi on Thu, Nov 6, 2008, at 12:08 AM

I am sorry if any truth or hard facts have hurt your feelings.

It is not neccassarily any one thing to guess at as you have attempted.

As I stated earlier.... "My instincts have generally guided me away from ones that lurk in the dark behind bushes and closet doors and take cheap shots wearing a mask. Unfortunately your comments have influenced me to place you more in the latter instead of the former."

Again in this situation none of the above repeated statement of truth and fact have any intent to cause hurt. If feeling are hurt they are to be viewed as simply an aftermath of an individual reaction to the truth and fact.

darrick_04,

-- Posted by parkerbrothers on Wed, Nov 5, 2008, at 11:25 PM

Not in the least bit. No guilty conscience here. Remember I voted for Curt Cobb and spoke personally with him on multiple occasions. Why would any Cobb supporter feel the need to destroy his signs??? Ask Blanton, the "Conservative" type person you seek to surround yourself with.

-- Posted by darrick_04 on Thu, Nov 6, 2008, at 8:31 AM

darrick_04,

I apologize. It was just your quick jump to excuses and alibies that gave the appearance of your guilt.

-- Posted by parkerbrothers on Thu, Nov 6, 2008, at 11:26 AM

Ask Blanton, the "Conservative" type person you seek to surround yourself with.

-- Posted by darrick_04 on Thu, Nov 6, 2008, at 8:31 AM

darrick_04,

Are you saying Curt is the opposite of Conservative and therefore a Liberal Socialist?

Does not sound like the Curt I know.

-- Posted by parkerbrothers on Thu, Nov 6, 2008, at 11:28 AM

parkerbrothers, Okay, as long as you were not trying to hurt my feelings, then I guess that is okay.

So...you mean it is all of those bad things you listed, not just one of them? Well…as long as you are not just being mean and trying to only point out my flaws, I can live with that. I do have to wonder why you would engage me so regularly online when you apparently believe my influence on you is detrimental to your convictions. You would not consider using your morality as an excuse, would you?

-- Posted by memyselfi on Mon, Nov 10, 2008, at 2:02 AM

I think I just simply said I have no interest in personally meeting someone that generally lurks in the dark behind bushes and closet doors and takes cheap shots wearing a mask.
