Election 2010Posted Wednesday, November 18, 2009, at 3:57 PM
Seems my prediction that Jim Tracy would run against Bart Gordon for the U.S. House of Representatives in 2012 was off a couple of years. Look for him to announce soon he will run against Bart Gordon in 2010.

I heard the same thing yesterday. This next election would probably be the best time for Jim to try his hand against Bart as the health scare bill is a hot topic and Bart obviously just doesn't get it. This so-called "Representative Democracy" has gone the wayside of partisan politics and party power. I, for one, did not vote for Obama, but after he was elected, I sincerely hoped that he would do a good job. I think that we should all support our President, no mater who we cast our vote for; however, the Dem's have proven that they cannot be trusted with absolute power and I hope the voting/interested public will get serious and clean house of many of the professional politicians (Democrat and Republican) in the mid-term elections. Just because the Dem's lambasted Bush during that last election, they falsely perceived their victory as an indictment of Republican/Conservative values. As most intelligent American's would agree, the majority of this country is not ready for a Marxist, socialist national agenda. Every industrialized socialist and communist country in the world has seen for themselves that socialism, in its most pure form, does not work. Even China and Russia now have quasi-capitalistic governments now and, as a result, can finally provide enough toilet paper for their citizens. These countries are admitting that socialism doesn't work, and Obama is trying to convince us that it does work.
Witness.... I would have to agree with the core of your comment. I, like you did not vote for Obama and I also did not see his election, while historic in nature, as a mandate of the people.
I also respect the fact you feel we should all support the president. But, I would differ on that with you in that I cannot support an individual, be it the President of this country or the President of a corporation, if they are not by their action carrying out the work and will of the people.
I would have to wonder if the senior citizens and the illegal aliens ("undocumented citizens") would have turned out the vote had they known they would be fined if they do not succumb to the will of "insurance" policy the Obomites have postured to hang around the necks of every small business and person in the country.
I do agree that the unilateral move of the world away from socialism should demonstrate to the most powerful country and leader in the world that Marxist style rule is a road best left untraveled. But the most powerful aid Obama has is the group of the population that feels they are entitled to the same home, car and lifestyle just because they have been feed that very thought all their life.
Having said that I would make the following comment and dare pose a question to the forum and ask for your insight (even though it makes Carl mad).
I can remember a time when I had no insurance, house or car. The road to town was long and hot as it was walked with bare feet. The idea that someone was going to come and take the new car next door away from our landlord and give it to us was a joke. But as a poor young man seeing the success of the man who owned the new car and our house inspired and challenged me to do as well if not better.
At one time the people, the children of this country were told to dream the American dream. It was taught that anyone could through the sweat of their brow and spark of genius could obtain a home of their own, 2.5 kids and pride in achievement.
So the question I pose ? What will happen when the dreamers of this country no longer put that dream in motion and create the product the factories need to build in order to employ the populous? Just some food for thought from out on the farm...
OUTONTHEFARM....IM AFRAID THAT DAY IS GOING TO COME, I PRAY NOT.... I WORRY FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS BUT YOU CANT WORRY ABOUT WHAT YOU CANT CONTROL , THE GOVERNMENT , NOT THE AMERICAN PEOPLE IS IN FULL CONTROL ,LORD HELP US.
