I can't hear you

OK, I act like a 3-year-old when the Olympics are on. I cover my ears and chant "blah, blah, blah, I can't hear you!" whenever someone tries to drag politics into the Games.
I know it's going to happen, but leave me alone in my state of denial. I just want to see the athletes do what they do best -- run, jump, swim, ride, throw. Give me the tearful, heartwarming stories. Tell me about their long struggles to success. I want the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat, but if the camera cuts away from Michael Phelps and to Bush one more time, I think I'll practices my own Olympic event -- fit throwing. Here's a spot of trivia for you -- in what Olympic event do males and female compete against each other as equals (not doubles) -- and their average age is 40?
Keep your fingers crossed for Margie and Beezie, and that's the only clue I'm giving.
I do have one snotty, side comment for Mark Spitz, who is whining because he wasn't personally invited to the Olympics to watch Phelps challenge his record. There simply wasn't room Mark, for both you and your ego. Comments Showing comments in chronological order [Show most recent comments first] |

Equestrian events I think.
They keep mentioning Carl Lewis and Spitz but what about Greg Louganis(SP)? I thought he has several medals for his diving but I haven't heard him mentioned.
Equestrian is right!
Haha,
Yeah, I wonder how the people of China enjoy the president visiting the Olympics while demanding that Russia stop invading defenseless countries... Hmm, sure is one to give advice eh?
Darrick,
i've read your response to post. You are totally clueless and don't understand thing.
Next point of business...
Did anyone see the gymnist the other night? The Chinese girls were amazing. America fell and stepped out of bounds to much to get the gold. I watched last night, saw some volleyball.

You want to implement some grammatical corrections and complete sentences before thinking you know something....
But really, besides telling me what I was clueless about, explain in detail. You don't think it's odd for your president to tell another world power they shouldn't be invading innocent countries? Meanwhile when the entire world was telling him (United Nations) he shouldn't invade an innocent country he did it anyways... Really.
About those Olympics...
