So many horses ...Posted Tuesday, August 26, 2008, at 9:29 PM
... so little time.
between running to the Celebration and, well, running to the Celebration, I haven't had a lot of time to blog. But I do have some comments to make. To the kids selling popcorn Tuesday night -- you need to go into advertising. Awesome sales pitch. I bought two boxes and I can't even eat popcorn. To the girls making change in a politely unnamed booth: 50 cents + 50 cents + $1 = $2, not $4. This is what happens when you allow calculators in school ... To the weather: Yes, we dearly needed the rain, but couldn't you have come LAST week? I'b getting a code in by dose. To the guy who so thoughtfully observed the "no smoking in the grandstand rules" and globbed a big old hunk of tobacco spit on my toes: Eeeeew. The neighboring lungs may thank you, but the sandals are in the trash. Double Eeeeeew. To the guys at the Celebration: I am LOVIN' the music on Celebration Plaza!~ more, more, more! We were sitting in the press box. The wind was blowing in on us, wet and cold. These kids climbed all the way up there, then peeked over the edge and said, "The popcorn's waaaaaarmmmmm."
I'm curious about the sales pitch for the popcorn. Please elaborate!!
In defense of the kids making change--
I am way past being a teenager or young adult even and I have been the cashier at one of the booths. When you have a mob waiting to pay, it becomes very stressful and I absolutely hated making change!! I have always said from that one experience that I would never work as the cashier again.
This is a lot like something you'd read in the back of a Yearbook, and I love it.. HAHA!!!
Awesome stuff.
