Apparently all of the murderers, arsonists, rapists, drug dealers, spouse abusers, child abusers, animal abusers, extortionists, terrorists, thieves, robbers, politicians, jaywalkers, litterers, and nose pickers have been taken off the streets of New York, leaving its police force with nothing to do but school patrol.

I read it. Twice. I still cannot believe it. Some of the chuckle-headed remarks of people writing in are equally amazing.
Some claim that arresting her and marching her off in handcuffs is the only way this 12 year old could possibly be held accountable for doodling on her desk. Actual accountability would involve cleaning off the doodles under pain of detention, or so it would seem to me; it couldn't have been that hard to clean it off.
