TEA Party Concerns

After getting several comments about space concerns and park rules on my blog concerning the 4th of July TEA Party at HV Griffin Park, I passed along the information to the TEA party directors. I have been assured that they have RE-contacted the Park and double checked it out. The TEA party will have live music and rest assured they said it will be at a low level not to compete with the surrounding events. Trace Marshall a talented local teenager will be showcasing his skills as he sings a few songs and Dave Evans, a Bronze medal veteran of the Persian Gulf War will share his heart on the difficulties facing our country. The event will be short and sweet kicking off at 7pm and winding down around 8pm. A few of the TEA party staff will be at the park all day to answer questions and give out literature about the direction of the country. So to all who were concerned, I was assured it will be a peaceful and informative event and honestly I can't think of a better time to hear from a veteran. I hope you all have a safe and fun Independence Day and take a moment to count your blessings and thank God for the freedoms we enjoy!

people are too quick to criticize when it appears someone may be messing up, and too slow to recognize when someone does the right thing. i am glad ya'll have crossed your "t's" & dotted your "i's", and hope the 4th goes well for you.

At least they did not shut us down like they have in Atlanta. Freedom of speech works as long its the right speech I guess. Bravo to Shelbyville for realizing people still (for now) have that right.

If we fail to speak while we're free, how will we speak when we're not free? Those not willing to fight for our Constitutional Republic, well, maybe they deserve a Marxist style government. That is what has already begun. Better get rid of your paper money! Soon it will be nothing more than paper!

Just Me,

Look, more Sheep! The "Butch" one looks like a particularly ignorant breed.

Once again a person who has to resort to name calling and attacking the person instead of making a rational statement of retort, about the issue behind the tea party. I have always been puzzled as to why those who disagree with even the slightest conservative opinion, attack the person instead of giving a valid counterpoint. Could it be that they have no valid point to make, and it much easier to belittle the person that to dig into their intellect and have a rational debate.
