Posted Thursday, December 29, at 6:48 PM Is there a book club here in Shelbyville? I was wondering. As much as I read....maybe I need to join one.
Every year vets probably see a upswing to more patients in the clinics due to simple oversights by well meaning pet owners. Some safety tips from the ASPCA are: 1. If you feed your pets turkey, make certain the turkey is well cooked. don't offer under cooked or raw turkey, NO bones please. They can puncture a intestine...
A turning lane on Main street ! ~About time! I have always been drove nuts about the fact that this town had a very busy street that had no turning lane incorperated into the road when it was first built. It was always dangerous feeling to me when I had to turn left at any time. For someone who has been high speed rear ended (twice) I feel much safer having a turning lane. NOW to have people use them properly when they are installed will be the next step...
The Awesome Tide coupon lady I was trying to get some shopping done, and looking through my meager supply of coupons, I was pretty vexed I did not have a Tide coupon for the Tide that was on sale at Kroger. I went to Kroger anyhow and when I was going down the isles, I spotted a Serious Couponer...

The fourth of July is super fun for alot of folks and they love to shoot off fireworks and have those fun sparklers, but from your pets' perspective it is a loud and dangerous time. These are like bombs going off and shreeks are horrid for them. Cats and dogs need to be kept inside idealy during this time before and after till the "fun" wears off the fireworks being shot off...

Man is it hot already, and with the increased heat comes some special reminders for safety. Never leave your children or animals in a car at any time. A car in 80 degree temp can easily reach 110 temps in ten minutes. The atmosphere and the windows of a car are relatively "transparent" to the sun's shortwave radiation and are warmed little. ...
I was in a clothing shop here locally and went to try on a shirt, in the dressing room was a sign "please do not poop or pee in our dressing room." WHAT? Someone would actually do something so gauche? Yes, I was told by the clerk and people have done other things too like leave food, drinks spilled and clothing piled knee high in the rooms...

I was discussing with someone about holiday shopping and how much I hate crowds. They thought for certain I was the type that loved Black Friday and would be up at the crack of dawn, and wait for stores to open. I laughed at her and said you could not pay me to go to shopping on that day...
The Amazon Kindle or the Nook? I am interested in the Kindle or the Nook for purchase but I do not know anyone who owns one. What are the pros and cons, which one is better and is the Kindle 3G a better buy than the regular Kindle. I hope someone has one that can enlighten me on these electronics....
Pastor Terry Jones of Gainesville Florida's Dove World Outreach Center want to hold a burning of the Qur'an on Sept. 11, 2010. Now, "Pastor" Terry says this is in protest to the Sept. 11 tragedy of the World Trade Center. Hate only breeds hate. How does burning the Muslim Holy Book prove anything other than you are a colossal idiot of the first degree...
I bought a new car several months ago and it had a three month subscription with Sirius Satellite radio. I enjoyed some of the stations but for the most part, they played the same thing our Nashville stations do, just without commercials. My feelings were mixed on whether to keep this or not. I thought not to, to me it is just not worth 12.50 a month...
Last week in in Coventry, England Mary Bale is out strolling when she comes across a friendly cat named Lola. Mary stops to pet Lola, who was purring for her and jumps on the garden wall and for some unknown reason, Mary looks around and opens the garbage bin and throws the cat in the bin. Then she calmly walks away...
Is it really hotter?? I moved to Tennessee 25 years ago and lived on Monteagle Mountain for quite a few of those. I remember fall time was fall, winter time had snow and ice...I could not got to work sometimes in Tullahoma due to the highway being closed. It seems it is hotter now than it was... fall time is not as crisp and winter time is just raining and cold not a good snow in a while...
