Drunk at 7:00 am??

Posted Friday, June 12, 2009, at 3:02 PM

My husband and I had a appointment to have a front end alignment done at Landers Tires. It was 7:00 am..

So we left and walked down to the river to enjoy the view and relax. While we were there a elderly man in a maroon van was parked down there, and got out of his vehicle.

He was loud and staggering and then proceeded to throw his cheap beer can in the river.

My husband got the mans' license number when he pulled out on the road to merge with traffic and called Shelbyville's finest at the police department.

The "gentleman" had parked across the street at the mini market and was buying more beer.

The police said they would look into it and we proceeded back to Lander's strolling.

Not only did the police not show but the creep started stalking us in his van!

He would pull up near where we were walking and then mean mug us.. or try.. hard to do that with bloodshot eyes..

My husband just said hello and we walked on, the man then pulled out in front of traffic and almost caused a wreak.

I never understood why the police did not come and check this guy out unless he is a frequent flyer of the jail system.

I am just glad he did not hit anyone.

What a trippy day that was.

Yes, he is a frequent flyer, at least to Fisherman's Park early in the morning. I walk very early most mornings and he is out and about by 7am. I have called about him too with no response. I guess when he hits and kills someone then they will come.

I must add a correction to the above blog. The Police did show up. The man was back in his van mergeing onto 231 south. The police drove around behind him and then drove away. I was on my cell phone doing some business at the time of this occurance. The Man got out of his van and was very agry at me for some reason. He was pretending as if he were on a cell phone and cursing. He at one point followed me up the road and parked at rambo glass. He then was stairing and cussing as I walked by. I have no idea why he was so angry. I assume he was disturbed by me being in the park at 0730 in the morning. I must have disturbed his sleep. This blog is now a part of plublic record. That means that all who read it will have a source of record when he is involve in a injury accident that makes the news.

Well at least you two can not be charged for him drinking in your presence. The bad thing is their are people crazy enough to hurt a person for reporting them to the police out their, especially if they are stalking you, and mean mugging you. Be careful, and don't let them see, or get the impression that you called the police.
