Ralph the Squirrel UpdatesPosted Tuesday, October 20, 2009, at 7:50 PM
I love Ralph the Squirrel
Ralph, is used to Ralph and that she'll stay. She has a routine first thing in the morning. First thing is get out of her new and improved cage, then it is have coffee with me, run from one end of the counter to the other. Knock over my candles, eat/steal the said candle wax. Then we go outside, and she climbs the oak tree and has a great time while I read. My neighbor, asked this morning who I was talking to. So I had to explain, it was not the dryad in the oak, but Ralph the Squirrel. She already thinks i am warped by having four cats. Ralph loves to steal my pencils and shread them, loves to taunt the cats, and has learned to use her litter pan in the cage. She goes with me everywhere I go and loves to do the laundry. She hangs on it while I fold. Ralph loves sweet tea and you have to watch your glass, when she is on the hunt for tea. She is such a fun companion and when she is ready to come in, she comes running down the tree and hops back on me. Comments Showing comments in chronological order [Show most recent comments first] |

I got about 50 in my yard. Do you need anymore, as im tired of them digging up plants.
cherokee2 they may not be importable, but sure send them over...
What a fun pet!!! Maybe you'll start a new trend, like ferrets? Sign me up for a "Ralph" of my own, lol.
Those pictures are SO good!! Thanks for sharing!
Aren't you afraid she'll get lead poisoning from the pencils? Why not get her some of the chew sticks they make for rats/guinea pigs/hamsters?
We have her apple, hickory and numerious kinds of wood, chew bones for rabbits. She is a squirrel and squirrels will chew on anything that they can find. We dont allow her to have anything that will hurt her. The pencils are just one of many things she tries to chew. We have had lots of rabbits and other critters. Thanks for your concern, Ralph is in safe capable well learned hands. We take her out everyday and give her the chance to choose to leave. She is free to go anytime she wants to. It would be sad to see her go because she is such a joy. I used to squirrel hunt for years and was raised on wild meat. After Ralph my squirrel hunting days are over.
Lead is not in pencils it is graphite, bentonite clay and water.
