A Wonderful Gift: a LCD MonitorPosted Thursday, April 1, 2010, at 4:19 PM
I repair computers, as most of you know and I was at a clients house yesterday setting up a new one for her.
It was a sweet Dell and really had a nice monitor. One of those pretty flat LCD's. 20 inch, awesome colours!
I know a young autistic teen who has been looking for one on Craigslist, to no avail in his price range.
Mrs. L asked if I'd like to take the old computer stuff and I said yes,I refurbish them for Parents ACT the autism society of Bedford County to give to the kids that are in need.
As she brought this stuff out to me, guess what was in the bag?
A nice LCD monitor. I told her of J's wish and she was so thrilled to be a part of that blessing.
I called J's mother to see if they had gotten one already and she said no. It was either the monitor or a tux rental for the prom he was asked to.
Well, now J gets to get his rental and he has the monitor he has been praying for.
Thanks so much for your giving, it is hard enough living from paycheck to paycheck for alot of these families and to have a disabled child with those expenses just makes "wanted things" go to the backburner sometimes never to come to fruition.
Thank you again Mrs. L! Thanks so much for the suppiles I can distribute. I was able to bless a family with a printer the other day due to a donation by another awesome lady.
