Adventures in getting older.

Well today was interesting, I had a 8:00 am dental appointment. Got a filling done, and walked around half the day talking like Sylvester Stallone in Rocky... I ran up the stairs several times yelling "adrianne" just because it felt authentic..

The next doc appointment was a eye exam and I have been putting off for three years, bifocals. So I left 300.00 poorer and with my eyes dialated and a pair of old fart darkening lenses over my old glasses.

I told the doctor, if I had my eyes looking like I had a drug trip I shoulda at least got a great feeling off of it.

Instead, alas I got the old fart glasses..

Most of the time, I am ok with the whole getting older thing and all the interesting things that are happening on a year to year basis.

But going home today I was humming the Rolling Stones song "what a drag it is Getting Old".

Do you have some interesting stories from getting older that you have noticed?

As that guy in The Holy Grail said, "I'm 37, I'm not old!" Actually I'm 36. But nonetheless, I had lasik surgery done so I don't see my eyes going out anytime soon. Since age 26, I started noticing gray hairs here and there and now I have this salt & pepper look which I'd like to do something about. But then again, unlike most guys my age, I still have my hair! LOL!!!

I just hope I can keep it that way! :-D

amen dude!! I noticed grey creeping in around 37 years old.. I was so surprised..
