the sudden slap of CancerPosted Thursday, June 16, 2011, at 7:37 AM
I have some hard things coming up real soon. Have to quit my beloved job, move to texas and move in with my mother who is dealing with stage 4 cancer we just found out about. I honestly don't know if i'll be able to work while i am in texas and try to care for her and take her to docs appts. Wish a money fairy (wealthy person) would come along and say "here I gift this amount to you..) Ah well... it will all work out..It will all work out.
My poor son came into the bed room in the wee hours of the morn and was crying and was worried about his Grandmum, my move and absence and the fact that his cell phone screen has bad pixals and his beloved computer has a rogue virus he could'nt fix.( He really needs a new one..)
I cannot make anything right, except replace phone and try to fix computer.
What I am fixing to go through is not going to be easy. I will be alone, and working though years and years and a worlds accumulation of things bought all over the world to sift though and determine what to keep and what to sell.
Having seen my father go though cancer in it's last stages I am so frightened about this I really just want to say, forget it.. but..I cannot. I am more than this situation and so is my mum.
Saint Julian of Norwich said something years ago dealing with her terrible sicknesses and afflictions and I can draw on that wisdom: "All shall be well, and all shall be well and all manner of thing shall be well, Let nothing disturb you. Let nothing frighten you. Everything passes away except God."~ Indeed.
