Valentine's Day - UGGGHHHHH
Posted Thursday, February 10, at 8:35 AM
I do not like Valentine's Day. What? You decided you love someone on this one day so you have to go out and buy flowers, jewelry, and chocolates? Or have they just come to expect a prize to appease them for the rest of the year for all the effort they have to put in for putting up with you? If you have to ask, maybe you don't really love them, you are just so comfortable in a marriage that things are implied(that's a whole different blog)...

Gone to the movies lately?
Posted Monday, November 22, at 8:04 AM

I have not had any leisure time lately so I decided on my Saturday night to go to the movies. I haven't been to the movies in at least a year. I know the new Harry Potter movie is out and I was hoping to avoid the rush to that movie so I and a friend went to the later show in Tullahoma to see RED (very funny movie)...

Working much..or much too much?
Posted Wednesday, September 15, at 12:19 PM

It's been a while since I blogged, but after making the divorce final I had a few things to do. The first was to get a few part time jobs...as in two. So I work 80 hours in 7 days in a week. I really miss my kids, but I'm off on Friday night for football so I haven't missed a game yet. My girl cheers, and one boy plays, and I drag the other one along to spend time with me...

Fighting the losing battles
Posted Monday, July 19, at 11:45 AM

I often feel that I am always fighting a losing battle. My path always leads up hill and I am always against the wind. My family says I'm strong, but at what point do you give up and topple over. Wind and water erode all things over time and I think this applies to people as well...

Endless Summer
Posted Monday, June 21, at 8:07 AM

I dread this time of year every year. The heat and the humidity are so terrible. If you go outside there's a great possibility that you might melt. I don't know if that makes me like a sno-cone or the wicked witch of the west. What I dread the most is summer break. ...

Abusive Relationships -- Experienced... raise your hand
Posted Wednesday, May 5, at 2:20 PM

I am not a doctor or a psychologist. I only know what has happened to me in the past and I want those women or men who it might help to be aware of what it is like to be in an abusive relationship. This is my experience and they are ONE sided accounts. ...

How lazy are your children?
Posted Monday, March 29, at 9:32 AM

On a scale from 1 to 10 this weekend...hmmmm...mine were at an 11. Apparently without proper motivation (aka the threat of death) my children..we now have five since my two step children are now living with us..do NOTHING except eat, watch tv, and play video games...

What the "Humane Society" of the United States does with your donations - SURPRISE
Posted Thursday, February 25, at 8:20 AM

A friend recently sent me a link to this website: http://www.consumerfreedom.com/news_detail.cfm/h/4062-unpacking-the-hsus-gravy-train I love any type of animals and I would like to save each and every one of them, but even I know my limits. I can't afford any more than I have right now: 2 cats, 1 dog, 1 guinea pig, and 1 piranha (we started with 5, but the rest disappeared and he kept getting bigger)...

Thniking out loud - wants and needs
Posted Sunday, February 7, at 1:02 PM

This is how much I know about how our economy works..zero. I try to watch the news, although I am convinced they only show us what they want us to know most of the time. I know we are in bad shape, but I do not understand why. I know spending leads to debt, which leads to our nation being in debt...

The DRAMA of teenagers
Posted Wednesday, January 27, at 3:36 PM

Well now that my children are in their mid - teens and still alive to talk about it. I thought I would get some perspective from them on something I could blog about. The drama of teen years...ok wait...D R A M A....that's better. Things haven't changed that much at the school since I was there, but then again they have changed drastically. You know new building, better programs..the good things...

Every women's new year resolution - weight loss
Posted Thursday, January 14, at 1:30 PM

Every year one of my resolutions is to lose weight before the summer and every year I start out well and just fall off the wagon. I know there is no magic diet or pill that you can take to make you lose weight. I have tried my share. I think that all these weight loss gimmicks are trying to confuse me on purpose. That way I stay fat and continue to purchase their products. Well, how's that for a light bulb over my head?...

Just a number
Posted Wednesday, November 18, at 10:28 PM

Hi my name is...well that's not really important. I am known by 393896. That is what I have been reduced to. In the circles of the child support ring, where an absent father owes $20,000 plus in arrears child support, that's all that I am ...a number...

Crazy Life of a Parent
Posted Sunday, August 30, at 1:13 AM

I know there are those that can sympathize with me out there. Sorry I haven't blogged in a while, but I've had a lot going on. School started at the new Community High, we had to take the tour. Gotta say very nice. We had to purchase supplies including new or slightly used clothing for school. ...

Trust sometimes equals being Gullible
Posted Wednesday, July 29, at 6:40 PM

Trust is such a hard word to define. It means so many different things to different people. One thing I know about trust is that once its been ruined it is almost impossible to mend. This mostly stems from my younger years being a bit of a wild child...

Made in China
Posted Thursday, July 2, at 12:21 PM

I went shopping for shoes yesterday. Every brand of shoe I picked up was MADE IN CHINA. One brand was made in Indonesia and Vietnam. Here's a problem with our economy. We do not make anything in the US. Every shoe proudly displayed it's mark on the outside of the box and it's like a slap in our face. If we stop buying MADE IN CHINA...well we can't there is no other choice...

Burnt out on Fireworks
Posted Thursday, July 2, at 12:09 AM

I have not bought fireworks for my children for about 8 years. Personally, I think they are a waste of time and money. I like to go to the park or where there will be a public show and enjoy it rather than drop $100 or more on something that will burn up. I also think that about cigarettes, but that's another blog...

Empty Fridge

I was really stressing about my next blog. I wonder if I am as entertaining as i think I am. Well maybe not. My friend told me Monday night to write what I know...so I am. I came home from work last week to a house devoid of food and three STARVING teens asking me what we are having for dinner...

Electronic toys at the table
Posted Friday, June 12, at 11:02 AM

This is my next big step into the tech world. I am in my mid life. Crisis -- well not so much. I haven't bought a corvette or had some plastic surgery done...yet. I just purchased my first cell phone about a month ago. I was forced into it by my family and well I was also just curious. ...
