Crazy Life of a Parent
Posted Sunday, August 30, at 1:13 AM
I know there are those that can sympathize with me out there. Sorry I haven't blogged in a while, but I've had a lot going on.
School started at the new Community High, we had to take the tour. Gotta say very nice. We had to purchase supplies including new or slightly used clothing for school. Our family celebrated a wonderful sweet sixteen for my daughter including party...ahhh it went well but glad its over. And I am seriously considering getting a second job....oh if only blogging would pay!!!! Football season has started and we are involved in practice, games, fundraisers, and etc. You know I am not getting any younger and sometimes it's hard to keep up. My parents always told me that I never appreciated all they did for me and I hate to admit it, but they were right. Just like I guess my children don't realize how much I do for them. The mom taxi, the mom bank, and the mom bakery/cafe never close it seems. Is this how everybody is with just different tasks to be done? You know if my mom had said kids are so much work maybe I wouldn't have had three...no I would have had them. The good thing about them is they are good kids. They are going to slowly drive me crazy, but they are good. How long does this last or is it forever? The mood changes, the whining, and the what have you done now are normal on any day of the week at my house. Is it at yours too?
Teenagers....gotta go something just got broken...blog you later.
Trust sometimes equals being Gullible Trust is such a hard word to define. It means so many different things to different people. One thing I know about trust is that once its been ruined it is almost impossible to mend. This mostly stems from my younger years being a bit of a wild child...
Made in China I went shopping for shoes yesterday. Every brand of shoe I picked up was MADE IN CHINA. One brand was made in Indonesia and Vietnam. Here's a problem with our economy. We do not make anything in the US. Every shoe proudly displayed it's mark on the outside of the box and it's like a slap in our face. If we stop buying MADE IN CHINA...well we can't there is no other choice...
Burnt out on Fireworks I have not bought fireworks for my children for about 8 years. Personally, I think they are a waste of time and money. I like to go to the park or where there will be a public show and enjoy it rather than drop $100 or more on something that will burn up. I also think that about cigarettes, but that's another blog...
Empty Fridge I was really stressing about my next blog. I wonder if I am as entertaining as i think I am. Well maybe not. My friend told me Monday night to write what I know...so I am. I came home from work last week to a house devoid of food and three STARVING teens asking me what we are having for dinner...
Electronic toys at the table This is my next big step into the tech world. I am in my mid life. Crisis -- well not so much. I haven't bought a corvette or had some plastic surgery done...yet. I just purchased my first cell phone about a month ago. I was forced into it by my family and well I was also just curious. ...
