What is Zumba?

Is it hard for your first visit? Like, if you (and I mean me) are TOTALLY out of shape? Is there a beginner class?

I was in the class with you and I didn't really get that great of a workout. Maybe it was just me.

Hondaa14,

Many people don't.

I guess it just wasn't that challenging for me.

Honda

I have read that you will not get a good work out unless you give it your all. You really have to GIVE IT YOUR ALL. I usually suck my gut in the entire time when you are doing crunches, I like to do firm punches, and really shake it, when she says shake it.

If you are out of shape, Like me, you can still do it. I just go at my own pace....Sometimes I do completely different then what the instructor is doing...I am always scared of my ankles..

I agree that you do have to give it your all. This is good advice. I think it wasn't challenging because I already have a routine of 30 - 45 minutes of cardio along with 30 minutes a weight training 6 days a week. I wanted to mix up my routine and it just wasn't enough. It is great however, for beginners or for those who have knee or ankle problems.

Actually, some of the moves ae contraindicated for knees and ankle issues. It is great for beginners ot those who love dance, but the more athletic among us usually demand more.
