Doctors?Posted Thursday, October 30, 2008, at 11:17 AM
I was thinking about which doctor my friend is to go see. But how does one know who is a good doctor? I suppose everyone has their own opinions. But, once I got thinking about the decision, I was thinking what a better place to find out information about the doctor than our blog! What do you know about Dr. Kelly Williams, MD of MMC?

Ever think of talking to the doctor?
Im sure the doctor would say "no, dont use me, Im a bad doctor".
Well, if you have Medicare or some government program like that then he actually might say that greasemonkey. :-P
Wow, I'm thinking those are not the responces Amanda was looking for.
I have never met Dr. Williams, however, Dr.Taylor is my doctor in the group. My personal experience, Dr Taylor is kind, caring and gentle. Very clear in his diagnosis and treatments. I expect that Dr. Williams will have a similar manner as well as the others in this group. The nice thing about the MMC group, if one Dr is not to your liking, you may change to another in the group.
Good luck and Congratulations!
Thank you Juju...I am great full for the positive reply...
Amanda,
One of the best ways to find a Doc. is to talk with folks in the medical profession like nurses. They can often tell you about bedside manner and skill level. Most doctors have good skills, but bedside manner also helps, lots. Another suggestion is to find out if the MD is part of a "big practice" and if they admit to the hospital. Many MD's are only seeing patients in the office and hospitalized patients are seen by a hospitalist. A hospitalist is usually an internal medicine doctor who only takes care of patients in the hospital in coordination with the patients primary care MD.
Amanda.I do not know that doctor either. But I have one in Manchester who I love and 2 at the Medical Center next to the Hospital in Murfreesboro and they are wonderful and 1 at Vanderbilit who is wonderful also.Talk to people in your family is always good. check to see who they go to and like. But like always who we may like you want. Just like food. What others like may be different for you or your friend. Good Luck Sweetie.
