Merry Christmas and Happy New Years! What is your Request???Posted Wednesday, December 24, 2008, at 12:09 PM
I have heard from so many this year that they are glad to see 2008 go and 2009 come in, like a new year will change their circumstance! I guess all they can do is hope and pray that 09 will treat them better than 08 did.
For me, 2008 wasn't great, and hopefully 2009 will turn out better for me. My New Year's Request is to have a healthy baby in July. That is all I am asking for. what is your New Year's Request? I would like for the economy to straighten out and the stock market to finally level out one way or the other. So many people are losing their jobs, their money, their retirement benefits and their homes due to the recession, I just want the recession to go away. I want peace in Iraq and our troops to come home they have been away now far too long. I want Obama to help the American people who are struggling due to the economy like he promise instead of throwing our tax dollars at Big Business. I want Gas prices to stay at a reasonable price so we don't all struggle to fill our tanks and heat our homes. I want the world my Grandmother lived in where she could go to bed at night and never lock her doors and wouldn't have to worry about anybody coming in to hurt her or rob her. I want the price of my and your home to at least equal the amount I paid for it at appraisal.
Yea I am dreaming and I know I have a lot of wants but we have a lot of problems that need our best wishes.
The best though I can say to each of you is Keep your head up, your heart open ,for this too will pass.
Here's Hoping 2009 is the best year of our lives.
humm my request is that people stop fighting over religion, raceand what ever.. if that cannot happen i would like a 100.00 gift card for Barnes and Noble..

Yea I know I am requesting alot but those are all things for myself as well as for my children and grandchildren and for you and your new baby also.
But if I had to request one thing that would benefit just me I would request, better health.
I will except whatever God see fit to bless me with in the new year.

I just want to be able to keep my home and I feel like I am one of the ones who are blessed. My heart is breaking as the new year rolls in. I pray we've already seen the worst but...
I agree with michaelbell.
Its all God's anyway and it would be so awesome if the whole nation would TRULY give total control of their lives and turn to Him. Then this world wouldn't be as bad as it is.
