It's football time in Tennessee, and not just at UT!

For the first time in eons I am dressed in warm clothes to go to a high school football game. It gets cold and windy up in those bleachers. I did this when I was in high school in the 50s, and then again when our sons were in high school in the late 70s. Since that time I have attended some UT games, but never when it was cold. I went to some Titans' games during the winter months. As a matter of fact, the last Titans' game I attended was in December of 2004, and my husband and I were fortunate enough to sit in a sky box. That's the way to go! It was a Monday night, and it snowed during the game. As we watched from our amazingly warm seats, I called my sister in Gulfport. She answered the phone by saying, "It's snowing!" She could see the snow coming down on the TV. Unfortunately, the Titans got beat that night. It may have been at the hands of Cleveland. Everyone else left the box before the end of the game, but my husband and I wanted to enjoy every minute of it.

We have been to 3 of Cascade's games this year. Twice we have left when the score was 42-0. I would love to see Cascade get a lead like that tonight, but today's Times-Gazette didn't predict it. Hopefully, we'll stay excited enough to be good and warm. If not, we'll just have to use our blankets, toboggans, scarves, gloves, and hoods.

It has been a good season for both Cascade and SCHS. I hope we bring in two more wins tonight.

You BET YOUR BOOTIE it was cold! I was OK for most of the game, but about the end of the 3rd quarter I was getting COLD. Too much sittin for me!

Nancy and I have been to 4 or 5 of their games this year and we were pulling for them, but it wasn't to be.
