The cost of Christmas

Today I have read what it would cost to give someone the items listed in the song "The Twelve Days of Christmas". The total cost would be $19,507, which is a 3.1% increase over 2006.
I thought that men always were paid more than women. This has nothing to do with worth. What is the difference in "ladies dancing" and "lords a-leaping"? They both sound difficult to me. Dancers leap in ballet, so they should be fairly equal. Here we have 9 ladies dancing valued at $4,759.19, which is the same as the cost last year. Meanwhile, 10 lords a-leaping would only cost $4,285.06, and that's a 3% increase over 2006. Lords, it seems to me you are on the short end. There seems to be no equality in the cost of Christmas.
