Wildlife sighting
My husband was quite excited Saturday over his wildlife sighting.
Whenever we are driving in the country -- or even down the interstate -- he always tries to check every field for deer, turkey, or any other form of wildlife in the area.
Saturday he was returning to Shelbyville from Tullahoma and decided to drive through the Normandy area. He was going from Normandy to Wartrace on 269 when he saw a bird in a tree and wondered exactly what it was. He thought he knew, but he turned around and went back to check it out. It was a bald eagle. He has seen bald eagles before at Dollywood, flying at the Titans' home games, and in Alaska. This was his first sighting of a bald eagle in the wild right here at home, and he was excited indeed.
Do we get eagle sightings very often in this area? Are there sightings of other animals not normally here?
