My sister sent an email a couple of days ago to let me know that Sonic was giving away root beer floats tonight. Last night I received an email from Sonic with the details. Between the hours of 8 pm and 12 midnight, Sonic will give away root beer floats, as long as they last. "Giving away" were the key words. That means free! I love root beer and especially root beer floats, so it was a real treat for me. We drove over to Sonic right after church services tonight. I'm lactose intolerant and had to take a pill in order to enjoy the ice cream in the float, but it was worth it. Thank you, Sonic!

Do you think we could start a tradition here in Shelbyville? Perhaps the first Wednesday night in July our Legend's could give away a cup of free fruit tea. That would be tasty. In an entire year, we would have warm, fuzzy feelings for 12 restaurants which had "treated" us. I would certainly go back and trade with those nice people. I know I'll go back to Sonic.

Hurry and get your shoes on. You still have a couple of hours to get to Sonic before midnight. At the rate the autos were pulling into the parking area, they may run out of root beer.
