There's No Place Like HomePosted Wednesday, May 5, 2010, at 12:59 AM
Today I opened the May 2010 issue of Southern Living magazine and saw a scene from Bedford County.
Just past the opening ads, index, editorial page, and more ads, page 15 has a heading, "Best of the South". On that page is a picture of a young woman riding a horse in a wide creek and states it is in Wartrace, Tennessee. The title "Summertime in Horse Country" is most appropriate. It gave a website where you can find several pages of stables across the state that offer trail rides, but they chose a picture from Wartrace for their magazine. It's nice to see something from home in Southern Living, and not just in the Tennessee Living pages. Bell Buckle makes it into the magazine from time to time. Lovely 3000 sf home, with an attached 90X60 hangar. There is even an FAA approved airstrip for the pilot in the family.
