  • You could try smudge pots but if you have neighbors you might not be popular.

    As screwy as this winter has been, I would have to agree about a killing freeze late in the season. The only thing that will be vulnerable for me is our fig trees and they could be protected, to a point. A lot depends on how far along they have readied for Spring when the freeze hits.

    Other than that, I am going to hold off serious planting until tax time. I say serious because I will always "push" planting times but this year I will not commit more than a plant or two.

    That said, we will probably go BOOM into early Summer.
