Just as easy to be nicePosted Monday, October 1, 2007, at 11:35 PM
How many people do you know whose standard greeting to practically everyone is a putdown to either the person they are speaking to or everyone in general?
I've known a few. It almost seems as if their day isn't made until they can make some derogatory remark to others and start their day off wrong. Would just a standard good morning, hello or hi really hurt them, or are they so miserable they want everyone else to feel the same way? Do they actually think such remarks make them look big? Many people have had the misfortune of having a supervisor, boss or whatever who believes he or she can only get the best out of others by chewing them out and downgrading them early and often every day. What a way to start the day! Perhaps we should all think about our word before we spew them out. Maybe we can help make someone's day Is it so hard to be nice and complimentary to others? wow. I woke up this morning and was thinking the very same thing. Great blog.
Sometimes, sad to say, it is the hardest thing of all to be....nice.
