McGee release updatePosted Thursday, November 15, 2007, at 10:48 PM
I just noticed the release date for Edward McGee has been moved forward to May 28, 2009.
McGee, charged with first degree murder of two little girls, Phyllis Seibers and Deboran Ray, at the old City Dump off Sims Road in December, 1966, went to trial for one of the deaths in October, 1967, and received a 99-year sentence. He has never been to trial for the second death. McGee is apparently receiving one day of "good time" for every two days he serves. At this rate will already be or about to be released from prison by this time next year. Comments Showing comments in chronological order [Show most recent comments first] |

Its pretty bad that you can get GOOD TIME if you kill someone but not for a DUI or not paying childsupport. All are serious but come on GOOD TIME for murdering a child! The system is really screwed up, he should spend every single day. He SHOULD have got the death sentence.
How was he charged with the murders of both but only went to trial for one?
That is what has so many people upset mmp84. The familes of both victims, especially the family of the child whose death never resulted in a murder trial. Contact me at melsons@cafes.net and I can explain some of the issues better than in a blog format.
I received your e-mail mmp84 and sent you more information via e-mail but it was returned to me with the notation it was an incorrect address. Please try again or contact me by phone.
I got it Bo. Thanks!
Do you mind if I print it out and pass it around to some folks or should I not?
I have no problem with any way you choose to handle it mmp84.
When I was a child growing up I remember the 2 girls going missing. My mother would not let us out of her site for years over this horrible man. You just got to question our court system when you really see stuff like this.
