Pick the winner of the Super Bowl

Posted Sunday, January 20, 2008, at 9:56 PM

Which team do you pick to win the Super Bowl, the Patriots or Giants?

For total bragging rights name the score and tell why the team you've picked will win the Super Bowl.

My pick is the Titans but considering they aren't even playing. I will have to go with the New England Patriots by 16 points.

IDC who wins... Lol, more than likely the Patriots, but I always like the underdog, if they aren't playing my team...

College football is way better, I wish they would implement a playoff system!

this is true, college should do a playoff system .. thhen we could find out really who the best teams were

since New England has had such a perfect season, I think they'll lose the big one.

I saw last night on the news where Tom Brady was hurt...if he can't play I may have to change my mind about who wins.

I'm definitely pulling for the Giants! My guess is they'll win by 3.

I want the Giants to win. Those Patriots are too cocky already.

For several years before I retired as sports editor of the T-G, I would have our high school coaches attempt to pick the winner of the Super Bowl...against an equal number of our high school cheerleaders.

The cheerleaders, many picking a team because of the color of the uniforms or how "cute" they considered a quarterback, always won over the coaches.

Does this tell us something about reasoning where the Super Bowl is concerned?

I should know better, especially since the Patriots haven't been playing well in recent games while the Giants stepped it up a notch, but I'll take the Patriots 31-17 and probably regret my choice.

Bo, that logic just reassured my pick. My wife really thinks Tom Brady is hot!......LOL

The late and lengendary Bear Bryant once said before you can win you have to learn to keep from losing.

Have the Patriots been playing only to keep from losing since wrapping up a key spot in the playoffs very early and lost their edge?

Sure, Bryant was a college coach but everything he said made sense at any level.

The New York Giants have been playing to win and throwing caution to the winds to do it.

Congratulations to Richard, onenamil and someonecares. All of you picked the winner and the winning margin.
