What should Bush do?

My personal view is that President George W. Bush should do Americans a big favor between now and the time he leaves office.

That big favor, in my opinion, would be to stay home and shut up.

It seems each time he goes abroad and starts making comments he only makes America and Americans look bad to too many people in the world.

Unfortunately he's shown the inability to lead our country. What makes him think he can run the world?

I think George Bush is focusing too much on creating some world legacy(peace in the Middle East) to leave so people will remember something good about him in the future.

Too bad he didnt spend the last 7.5 years working on creating some type of legacy here in America or in his words . . . "do gooder stuff".

What do you mean "inability to lead the country"? Aside from the fact that he has dramatically increased the national debt, subverted the Constitution every chance he got, got us into war on a foundation of lies, lost international credibility and bungled a number of other things, he has been a pretty good Prez.

He should pull out our troops in Iraq before he leaves office...But we all know that will never happen...he wants the U.S. to have a permanent base in Iraq so we can control the Iraqi oil..So he will have more money...All the money he makes he should be giving it back to our men and women who come home from the war with leg's and arm's missing and mixed up in the head from being over there way too long. Our men and women should not be there more than 6 months ...BUT we bring them home and then send them right back..Does BUSH care?? I do not think so

I heard yesterday on the national news that truckers were considering boycotting gas prices and park their trucks. Has anyone else heard this? If this happens, our grocery stores shelves will be empty in a day or two.

ALSO..Our Vetrans need better HELP than they get now when they have been protecting us. Did you know that 50% of our homeless are Vetrans??? 50% !!!!!!!That is so very sad and THE BIG MAN (BUSH) and congress should be ASHAMED !!!!

I have not heard that. But I will stand behind them if they do that. Someone needs to take a stand.We have to do something to let them know that we are not going to take it any more.

Not only are 50% of our veterans homeless there are over 2 million without any type of medical insurance.

Bo...I am still thinking of this question..WHAT SHOULD BUSH DO ???? I tought it should have been What Bush should have done. I think it is really to late for him to do anything good now. Then I thought hey today is april 1st..April Fools Day. So this was just a joke question RIGHT ??? You got me. lol lol I have been thinking all morning long. The joke was on me. That is why I could not think of anything that he would do....

How can any President leave office with a legacy if 50% of our veterans are homeless? That number is huge. This should be first and foremost in being corrected. These men and women should, at the least, be warm, fed and have a permanent roof over their head. Is that too much to ask of our country or our President??

DIANATN...Thanks for the links..I do not have cable so I have to read what ever I learn...I will go to these sites..I would love to have cable..I did at one time before the price of it went out of sight for me..I am not going to pay such prices for T.V. I can remember growing up with 3 stations and we were happy with that. I can get the locals but come 2009 I want be able to get that any more..What ashame..I am going to have to break down and do something by 2009

Unfortunately, as far as the truck drivers strike is concerned around here it is owner/operators because they are the only people not running a fleet of trucks. If a trucking company actually stopped moving all of their trucks for a week, they'd go bankrupt. The trucks have to run to make money and they have to make money to run. It's a double edged sword.

President Bush could still push to close our borders and just maybe his ratings would go up somewhat. As of now I think that he may go down in history as being one of the worst presidents. I even voted for the man.

Do any of you bleeding hearts know a homeless veteran? You have been watching too much ABC, CBS, and NBC. Most of the homeless are on drugs and don't wont help. Get your facts straight before you start cutting our elected President.

I was doing that BEFORE our president started an illegal war, why would we be doing that different.. Besides CHINA owns us, not the Middle East... Try again.

And as far as "getting our facts straight"... you should have been telling Bush and the Neo Nazi administration that very same thing while they were devising a war. After all, his entire presidency began illegally, so what else could we expect.

No matter what you believe jim8377, anyone who has voted has the right to either praise or criticize the president because he is elected by the people and works for the people and is subject to their opinions(even if you and George Bush disagree). Also, just because they disagree with Bush or don't like how he has handle their presidency does not make them unpatriotic or friends of terrorist nor Muslim(I wish you had the intelligence to at least spell that word right). Your comments just go to show how inept you are at understanding the world or what is going on in this country.

Also, I don't know if there are many veterans homeless or not but I do know many are barely getting by with the limited health care they receive and the poor conditions they face at some of these veteran hospitals. Also, many veterans are denied health care they need because they don't have insurance or the insurance they have refuses to pay the bill.

But really, let's end these stupid comments in which anyone who disagree with Bush must be for Islam and must not love the good ol USA. That is limited thinking and the thinking of someone who has their own agenda to push.

I think the statistic is that 50% of the homeless are veterans, not that 50% of veterans are homeless.
