Medical situationPosted Friday, April 4, 2008, at 2:43 PM
This is an item in my blog I certainly wish I didn't have to write.
Two weeks ago this coming Monday I encountered a serious medical condition. I will be checking into Vanderbilt University Medical Center Tuesday afternoon for an invasive medical procedure the following day. Depending on the outcome of that procedure major surgery could follow. I hope and pray I'll be back writing my same boring blog items before too long. My faith in God and the excellent doctors at Vanderbilt to carry out His will are a big help to me and my family.
The best to you and your family Bo. It is never easy on anyone, and the family does their fair share of worrying.
Bo,
You know that all your Texas family has you in their prayers. Since everything in Texas is big, so are our prayers.

You have our prayers,too.
I can just hear people saying:
"Haven't you got what Bo Melson had? He had it rough for a little bit but he bounced back in no time.
Trust in the good Lord and good doctors and you could do just as well as he has."
You've always been an overcomer.
If the love and respect of those around you counts, you always will be.
Best of luck Bo. Hope you're back soon.
