Freezing World Series GamesPosted Thursday, October 30, 2008, at 3:36 PM
I understand the length of regular season has increased and playoffs have been added to reach the World Series.
Was this necessary to bring in more money to meet the ridiculous salaries most players receive or for betterment of the game of baseball? In most World Series recently it was practically a toss-up some nights as to whether the game should be played by the freezing players before freezing fans with a baseball or hockey puck. Like many sports, the major league baseball season is too long. Comments Showing most recent comments first [Show in chronological order instead] |

Agreed. They should reduce the regular season to 140 games and finish out the playoffs in September or early October at the latest. The baseball season is way too long. It would help with injuries and with the interest in the postseason. Not to mention, it would reduce the chance of playing in the horrid weather you can run into in mid to late October. Sounds too good to be true, so it probably won't happen. Just think Spring Training will be here before we know it Bo.
