New Year's resolutionsPosted Friday, January 2, 2009, at 3:20 PM
Did you make any New Year's resolutions?
If so, have you ever kept one? I can recall one when I was in military service. That resolution was to lose 15 pounds. I lost 20 pounds. Comments Showing comments in chronological order [Show most recent comments first] |

Did not make any. I made some in the past and guess I kept some, probably missed many as well, but every day is a new year now-a-days so January 1st did not mean much.
No I did not I never keep them anyway so I figured why waste my time making them :>(
I'm like Dianatn.....can't commit to them, so why bother.
But, it would be great if I could drink more water, greatly reduce my sugar consumption, eat more veggies, start a walking routine and not procrastinate so much. (For just of few of my past ones).
I always find it interesting when people make a resolution to stop smoking, everyone expects them to stop on January 1st, but when you resolve to lose weight, nobody expects you to crap out 20 lbs that day.
My resolution this year is the same as it was last year (and I definitely succeeded). That is to have a better year than last year. Not just financially but in my relationship with my wife, the way I conduct myself, the contributions that I make at work and in the home, and in my personal growth. I figure it worked last year, why not this year.
Well, I made the same old resolutions once again, to reduce my time spent on the internet, not get so impatient when on North Main Street at 4:30 pm and to cut down on fried foods. Needless to say, I've already broken them. Oh well, there's always next year!
