Where do you turn in severe weather?

When we have severe weather in the forecast and sky conditions indicate something may be on the verge of happening in Bedford County, which Nashville television station do you trust the most? Why?. Or, do you just look out the window and make your own forecast?

I love storms. As long as I know everyone is safe, the meaner the better. The power of nature for good and bad is amazing.

I generally use the local channels, the internet and my police scanner. I agree with MotherMayhem, Channel 2 has the best graphics.

the internet / national weather service, you can get the watches and warnings real time as they do at the TV stations.As well as radar.

Channel 2. Lisa's professional, but compassionate approach when she had to over that tornado a couple of years ago, knowing her mother was in the midst of it, has impressed me deeply and create a loyal weather watcher. That and they have the coolest graphics, LOL!

I usually watch channel 2 and turn my laptop to the weather channel. You can turn on the radar and watch as the weather comes into your neighborhood and keep up with weather alerts. If the electricy goes out, I have the battery powered weather radio.

We also use the NOAA weather radio. It actually saved us last year or so when the tornado came through here. The TV channels didn't say anything about this area.

I actually watch them all to get as much info as possible. Looking out the window does not hurt either.

I am a bit dense and actually like to stand outside and experience it as much as possible. I draw the line at actual tornadoes, but otherwise I stand outside the glass door so I can see the weather maps and experience "Mother Nature".

I actually rely on my weather radio. Most of the time in inclement weather, my satellite goes out. Much easier just to listen to my battery operated Weather friend.
