Thanks to the thanklessPosted Thursday, May 27, 2010, at 3:11 PM
I wish to commend a group of workers who perform a thankless job for the people of Shelbyville week after week.
The people of the City Sanitation Department have been there for us through a long and, for us, cold and messy winter and a rainy spring. They are open to criticism just because someone is having a bad day. And, we have those who know just how it should be done but have never had to perform that job...cold, wet or both. I guess I just want to say thanks for a good job. Comments Showing comments in chronological order [Show most recent comments first] |

Nice thought Bo. We don't use them out in the County, but I would bet that they put up with a lot and get very little thanks.
i think these folks are great whenever i see them on my street i always tell them thanks and try to give them cold water in the hot summer.
They have a thankless job that people look down on but i am grateful for their hard work.
