Strange Start, Great FinishPosted Thursday, June 23, 2011, at 3:09 PM
The day Harriet and I were married started with some strange incidents.
Harriet stepped on the bottom of a hooped skirt under her wedding dress and lost it as she was coming up the steps to come down the aisle. Then during the ceremony there was a little srm wrestling as I tried to put her wedding band on her right. I learned right then she would keep me straightened out. There was some hesitation immediately after the wedding as the new man and wife started to leave the church. This was due to the fact I was somehow standing on the train of her wedding dress. After we returned from our Florida honeymoon there was one more surprise. The T-G had a misprint over our picture. It was supposed to have said Wed in Church Ceremony. Itstead it proclaimed Wed in Church Cemetery. We were married 54 years ago today. I would marry her again every second of it. She's still the girl of my dreams. Congratulations to you both. Jim & I will hit that same magic number of 54 when February again rolls around. It sounds so long, but it certainly doesn't feel like a long time. Again, congratulations.
Congratulations on such a wonderful adventure you and your wife have been living, there is not another on earth that can be so full filling.
