What section of road or street do you dislike driving the most at night in Bedford County? Why?

Railroad road into Wartrace. Horrible at night.

Old Tullahoma Highway has always been the hardest drive for me. Each time I've ever driven that road, day or night, it looks different to me.

GM developed the auto-dimmer and first appeared on Caddys and Olds. Ford and Chyrsler used the GM system. They were on cars into the '80's; my '89 Town Car had it but not my '94. I don't think that anybody uses it anymore; I'm not sure but I think it was because of some new regulation.

That right-hand stripe is a life-saver for night driving. If I put my pickup's hood ornament on the stripe, my right side tires are six inches from the stripe.

AT night I always look at the line on the right side of the road to keep me in my lane at night. That white line on the right side of the road is the best thing man has ever done to the roads.

I found it seems to help a LOT when it is raining, if you turn your defroster on to help dry the windshield. It stops it from hazing up and keeps my vision clearer looking through the windshield at night. Even works during the day as well.

Typically any TN country road. They have bad/faded lines and it's hard to see in the dark...much less when it's raining. I'd rather just stay home.

I once had a Cadillac that had self dimmers on it and I loved that feature. Can't remember what year it was. Yes, they do put that feature on some cars.

Maybe it is old age kicking in but I hate any road that has those pink looking street lights.They make everything look hazy to me.

Around the High School is bad in my opinion because of the lights. Of course my being color blind may have something to do with it also.. which seems to be getting worse with age.

I dislike turning left on Peacock from 231 at night. Once Jim was at home sick, & I went to a basketball game alone. On the way home that night the street lights on the side of 231 opposite Calsonic were not burning. It was dark. I almost missed the road. We hadn't lived here long, & I knew I had to make a wide left turn, but I overdid it. Thank goodness nothing was coming, & there was time to straighten up. Now I always go out to Whiteside at night. It's rare that I drive alone at night.

I recall back in the 50's, I think '52 or '53, Mr. Cliff Doughtrey had an Oldsmobile that had an automatic dimmer. It was mounted on the left side of the dash. I recall that when he would meet a car that wouldn't dim the lights he would say "dag nabbit" and put his hand over the dimmer which would put his headlights back on bright. Then he would say, "that'll teach him".

Just about any two lane, curvy road because many forget or don't care to dim their lights.

They can make cars that navigate themselves so what would be the drawback to automatic dimmers when oncoming traffic is sensed?

They might already have that but not on any cars I have driven or seen.
