About today's column

Posted Wednesday, August 1, 2007, at 10:46 AM

Just a quick note: One of the topics of my column today deals with the case of a college student facing felony charges for allegedly putting a Koran in a toilet.

The incident is attracting a lot of attention and debate, such as last night on Paula Zahn's show, where the talking heads were really going at it over the controversy. Video of the verbal clash can be seen here.

here is that horrible ACLU doing good works again...

I would hate to think that if this happened to one of your family members, this is what you would call them, THE "ANTI CHRISTIAN LIBERTIES UNION"

First of all Mr.Bell...Please learn how to spell JEHOVAH....and 2nd of all..what schools are "instructing" their kids to be Muslim for a week? and if they are SO WHAT?? What is wrong with exploring all religions? Just because their God goes by a different name, does that mean that it is not our God? They have a belief system just like we do. You will be stunned when you go to heaven and are sharing the same space with Islamic, Buddhist, Muslims, Jews, Catholics etc....

The ACLU was put into effect to help EVERYBODY and I guarantee you that if you needed them, they would be here.

A bible in my house or in my toilet does not make my faith any less, it's a BOOK....I have faith...not a system of rules that I follow.

The ACLU has protected MANY MANY MANY Christian preachers... Just do a little research before bashing a group that is simply protecting the VERY CONSTITUTION our country was founded on.

When you go about adding religion in doctrines such as the Constitution, you always seem one sided, thus becoming a dictatorship not a so-called 'Democracy'..

Just words for thought. But the ACLU, is not forcing anyone to practice Muslim rituals, or any other rituals, they are simply in business to protect everyone's rights, not just special interest groups... And please describe the difference between 'Radical Muslims' and 'Radical Christians'... Because all throughout The BIBLE, mass murder, war, famine, and other forms of bloodshed were all part of the 'Radical Christian' ways to spread Christianity...

Most peaceful Muslims, like peaceful Christians don't stand on pedastals and demand that everything be their way! Everyone needs to stop classifying an entire group of people based on a few 'radical individuals...

IN GOD I DO TRUST! I'm secure with my beliefs, so I don't get all 'bent out of shape' when a Koran, or even a Bible is flushed down a toilet.

There does seem to be a double standard here lately. Some schools are instructing their students to be "muslim" for a week. Some jobs are catering to them by giving them a extra break to pray or do ritual foot washings. The radical muslims said that their goal was to turn America into a muslim nation .,they can count me out for Ifollow the one true God and his name is Jehova and his sons name is Jesus Christ who died for the sins of the world .No other God has done that not Allah ,Mohamad or any other .Ihave said in the past that the A.C.L.U.stands for the ANTI CHRISTIAN LIBERTIES UNION! We can't say anything Christian ,but everybody else is getting catered to.Be Blessed!

I'm disappointed in how our country that was based on a belief in God, has to worry about being so politically correct to protect a Koran. If it were a bible, I believe nothing would have been said or done about it. I think it is crazy to charge someone with a felony for putting any book in a toilet, but because it is a Koran we get all bent out of shape. I think it is time to stop being so politically correct and go back to the beliefs this country was founded on...In God We Trust.
