Are you going to Bonnaroo?Posted Tuesday, June 3, 2008, at 9:33 AM
Is anyone from Bedford County going to Bonnaroo? If so, the Times-Gazette would like to talk to you!
We'll be covering the giant music festival in Manchester next weekend and we want to know what you think. What are your favorite bands? What do you like most about the giant festival? Have you been before or is this you first experience at the 'Roo? This year's event, which Rolling Stone Magazine calls "the ultimate over-the-top summer festival," kick offs next Thrusday and runs until Sunday, June 15. The event is expected to attract 80,000 music fans to Coffee County. Among the artists performing this year are Metallica, Pearl Jam, Jack Johnson, Widespread Panic, Robert Plant, B.B. King, Chris Rock and many, many others. Contact Brian Mosely at 684-1200 ext. 264. We'd love to get your impressions. I'm going like always. Too much fun people watching.
Perhaps you could find some Bedford Co. folks on horseback there. I understand there are some signed up to be mounted deputies.
Give me a ring when you can, AFlynn. Perhaps we can meet during the festival as well.
I am planning to go to Bonnaroo. I went last year for the first time and had great fun! I love all the different types of music offered there. I went for on night last time, but this time we are staying 2 nights!!
I wouldn't mind going, seeing a few bands I like and meeting some new people. But we need to ask, WWEMD?
Nope, I'm goin' fishin'. Just so happens that Bonnaroo is the same weekend as the Jonathon Acklen Fishing Tournament in Winchester. Tickets are much cheaper and fishing is more fun than hacking up illegal smoke that some stoner blows in my face.
To whoever goes... have fun!
If the T-G wanted to buy me a ticket I would be glad to sacrifice my time , energy, a few brain cells and damage my hearing even further to attend and give my impressions. :)

Would love to go because I LOVE music...But it cost way too much and i believe that there would be too much mess going on for me...I went to Woodstock 69....Yes i am letting the cat out of the bag...I was a bad girl one or two times while growing up...I was suppose to be spending the week-end with a girlfriend and she was spending the week-end with me...There was 4 of us and we went in a V.W. Van...Had a blast...but my bubble was busted when we got back....But it was will worth it...I was grounded until I got out of school....
Not going.. Never have, never will...
