ThanksPosted Tuesday, July 22, 2008, at 8:56 AM
I'd like to thank the T-G and acting editor John Carney for giving me the time to work on the series last December. I'd also would like to extend thanks to all those readers who supported me during that time of vicious criticism from various disgruntled circles. I have to thank the T-G again for actually publishing the series. During the week we ran the stories, I heard from more than one person who said that many newspapers wouldn't have the guts to print what I compiled. While my award is not as large or distracting as the major one pictured above, it means a whole lot to me. And I don't think Ralphie's mom will "accidentally" smash to pieces when displayed. Again, thanks to everyone. Comments Showing comments in chronological order [Show most recent comments first] |

Thank you for bringing to light an issue that most were afraid to touch. I was a critic at first but after reading the whole series then I appreciated what you wrote and the points you made.
Speaking of points, look in today's blotter.
* Mohamed Ahmed Mohamed, 52, Anthony Lane; public intoxication; released, $250 bond
* Jamal J. Mohamed, 22, Anthony Lane; DUI; held, $1,000 bond
I think I might have missed it...how can I read about it...I might have read it I really am not sure...but would like to read it in case I missed it....
