Muzak.... when is enough, enough?Posted Tuesday, November 18, 2008, at 2:31 PM
The other day, I was having a quick lunch a local restaurant, when unfortunately, I began to notice the background music, which typically consists of either jazzed up or orchestral versions of classic rock tunes.
Normally, I try to tune this out, seeing how annoying some of this stuff can be for an old rock and roll fan.
But this was just too much.
Someone had actually recorded a Muzak version (also known to many as elevator music) of the Scorpions' 1990 hit "Winds of Change."
Which leads me to ask: What is the worse version of a rock tune that you have heard that has been mangled by these "artists?"
Which songs and artists should never touched by these useless hacks?
And how do I scrub that awful version of the Scorpions tune out of my brain?
