  • I fear we are in for a drenching!....that is if the weather lady and radar is accurate!.....my grass is getting outta hand, I still have limbs on the roof from the last winds that came through....they are saying Tropical depression Cindy will be directly over us tomorrow....we might get a tornado watch before it's over...not to mention up to 4.5-5inches of the rain.

  • Sorry I am late to the discussion. Not sure where yesterday went.

JUST as I was putting the first scoop of food down for the outside cats this morning, sploooosh. I had checked the phone weather forecast minutes before and it looked like early afternoon but they forgot the pop-up showers.

Back in for a change of wardrobe. (actually, to add some wardrobe) The cats get suspicious when I look different. There is one cat who will not get close if I have a shirt on, but rub against me and let me pet her if I am shirtless. :-) But they all got fed (under some form of cover)

You're right Chef, it might be time to hibernate again. I did it during the campaigns but it isn't much better now, just more varied.

Yesterday our daughter sent a video clip of Trump with a statement interpreting his words in Iowa. I'm not sure if it was her words or the person who published the clip, but she must have agreed. After watching the clip I was amazed at how differently I heard it. Almost night and day.

That escapee situation got too close. Wish I had known the connection with our area when I read the initial news. I usually greet all unexpected visitors with a means of defense close by, but I would have greeted them with defense in hand. (the defense stays a little closer now)

It has been a good year for grass mowing businesses. The other extreme is scarier so....

You probably saw the Facebook post about a dog and the 9-11 Twin Towers tragedy. That was a "warm fuzzy" but apparently not real. Guess people are so hungry for good news that they make that up too, or at least embellish to make their point. I think the point was to get people appreciating rescue dogs, but who knows?

  • The crime numbers are listed in today's paper....it's a good thing that our murder rate is slow....I just can't believe there are those who still try and shoplift in our town, especially at Walmart...don't they know they are being filmed and watched....there are camera's everywhere these days...I guess they have no smarts at all!

Our stores are smarter then kleptomaniacs around here regardless how much they think they are smooth operators....

I just saw on the Channel 4 News at noon "Batman"(a man dressed like him anyhow) stopped a shoplifter at Walmart until the law got there, so we even have Superheroes watching them!....If I see anyone stealing anything, I report it...there are a lot of houses and cars lately being burglarized!....if I'm home when someone breaks in here they better duck and dodge, after I get them cuffed they will also get a lecture...and they will listen!...Just Saying!

  • Walmarts needs to go with Sharia Law and cut the hand off of the thief. At least that way they can only steal half as much the next time, lol.

  • What I don't get is why people even try to steal from Walmart....they get caught every time it seems....their observation is so top notch they even can describe the vehicle they were in!
