You're confusing two different events, Dianatn. I think you are thinking about the dog show which is held during the Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration. Cheryl is blogging about an event called "Celebration Pet Day," which has nothing that I know of to do with the TWHNC and which will be held in September, long after the TWHNC has ended.

you know what I do believe you are right I am confused. That's what I get for just scanning though it without reading it more throughly.. I am sorry Cheryl if I confused anyone else about this other than myself :>)

No problem Dianatn. BUT if you do enjoy the dog show at the Walking Horse Celebration, you should come out to our pet day. We have a pet show at our event. It is open not only to dogs, but other animals as well. Last year, we had a lady enter a Nubian Dwarf goat. He was smaller than some of the dogs! It's always a lot of fun. You can see the pet show class schedule at:

Oh That does sound like fun. My grand daughter is the biggest animal lover you'd ever meet, right now she has 4 dogs and 2 rats but she'd take in every stray she saw if her Mom would let her..She will be 16 in a couple of months. Every year since she was small she has a birthday party and instead of gifts for herself she ask that everyone bring something for the humane society like dog food, toys, cat litter it always turns out really well.

I am sure she will want to attend your event. Thank you for the info on this

I hope to see you guys there. Look for me and introduce yourselves. I'd love to meet you both in person.

I believe I've heard the stories of your grand daughter. She sounds like a wonderful person and a great friend to animals.
