![]() This cutie is a sweet, 6-8 week old female Beagle / Pug mix. She is very friendly and sweet. She gets along well with other dogs. At this time, she weighs less than 5 lbs. Currently she is living in a foster home but would lover her very own forever home. If you would like to meet her, please contact the Shelbyville-Bedford County Humane Association for an adoption application at (931) 684-KIND or e-mail SBCHA@hotmail.com Adoption fees vary but usually start around $50. Since our shelter is operated ENTIRELY by volunteers, we are open by appointment only. Once we receive your application, one can be set up for you. No wonder so many pets have to be put to sleep, $50 is high when someone is trying to help the county. For another $50 dollars you can buy from a breeder and have papers.

Shelbyville-Bedford County Humane Association is NOT associated with Bedford County Animal Control and the county shelter. Actually, $50.00 is cheap considering all of our pets are adopted out of the shelter already spayed/neutered and all shots are up to date. That's actually cheap. Also, the funds are used for the animal's vet care and shelter upkeep.
I also doubt that you could only spend $100.00 at a reputable breeder and get a pure bred dog. They are usually much, much higher.
