OH MY GOODNESS!!! I saw this dog in my yard this morning, but had NO idea that she was lost! I feel HORRIBLE!
If she comes back, I will fence her in my backyard and call you. :(
Thanks Mary. Just keep an eye out for her and let us know, if she comes back.
In a way, that is a good sign. She has strayed but as of yet not stolen.
Mary~
Can you e-mail me at moodyrichardson at yahoo dot com?
I'd like to know where you're located, so we know if we are still looking for her in the right area for her. Thanks!
So she is found?! That is so great! I feel alittle better now. =)
This reminded me why we need to keep updated pics of our family members in case they go missing.
I like that we are a good-sized and growing community but I must admit I've envied churches and towns so small that they had "yearbooks" that profiled each household and its members.
Newcomers could not only introduce themselves to residents but use the information on their neighbors to discover who people were, where they lived, what hobbies they enjoyed, etc.
If a community is really little and well-established,folks tend to know everything they need to know already.
If it's too large and in flux,no yearbook or website could keep up with the data.
But a middle-sized place that can look up who owns a brown mixed breed dog (or has twin nine year old soccer fans or who knows how to build a chimney from field rock) would seem to have a good way of keeping the intimacy of a village even as it gains the benefits of a greater population.
Maybe our pets need to have a MySpace page along with harnesses (collars come off and can hang a pet too easily) holding their i.d. tags, vaccination tags and insurance information.
;)
