I would be he was a good companion for someone who has moved into a retirement home or the final reward, but he sure does not deserve abandonment, which is what I presume happened.
We adopted an older dog (we call her Sophie) and she has turned out to be a true pleasure. She is very intelligent, well behaved and LOVES to travel with us to town or anyplace we will take her.
If you don't find his original person, I sure hope someone can fit him into their family.
I'm sure you'll check out any one that wants to claim him.
Even if you exclude the bad guys,not everyone who steps forward to offer a forever home is a good candidate.
This handsome dude (as well as all other creatures) deserves a loving,competent family.
If only we all had the material and spiritual resources to support all beings in need of love and support!
I am happy to report that this dog went home today with a nice couple.
Thanks again everyone for your concern and keep our animals in your prayers as our shelter is full.
