Tinytoes,
Obviously you are against anything that increases the quality of life in Bedford Co. This is a great event and one in which many can participate.
Further, if the spay and neuter clinic is successful in its endeavors the need for animal control to pick up strays is likely to be reduced. Please learn to think in terms of future effect.
Tiny Toes,
I am not sure where you get your information or exactly where you are coming from on this. Perhaps you are just misinformed or maybe you have had your feelings hurt somewhere along the way.
Anyway, BCAC does pick up strays. Understand, they have limited resources (personnel, facilities, funding, etc..) yet they seem to operate with a perpetually full facility with one of the smallest budgets in the county.
Those animals do not magically appear in the shelter. No, overworked employees of the county get calls at all hours to pick up these animals.
Sure, they do not get every stray in the county. That would be impossible just like it would be impossible for the police to get every criminal. Surely the city and county police should not be disbanded because every criminal is not off the street. And surely you would not want to prevent the police from educational events or fund raisers.
I think it is admirable that those who run the BCAC are going beyond their job descriptions and organizing a fund raiser to help control the pet population in bedford county. These people get paid no extra to organize, promote, and attend the event Saturday. So, if anything, the taxpayers of Bedford County are getting more than their money's worth.
Blessings,
Jerome
Bedford County Animal Control need to spend their time picking up animals running at large and stop wasting the taxpayers hard earned dollars. The county court needs to do something about this!
Thanks, 'thatsmystory'!!!
Praying it doesn't rain.
Papers will work also just bring them with you they must have proof of rabies being current.
Can't wait to do this but did not realize that Rabies vaccinations had to be ON THE COLLAR.
Won't the papers do??
